National agreement for Sainsbury’s smoke control maintenance

Arcus FM, the national facilities management specialist, has cemented a seven-year deal to manage the national Sainsbury’s estate.

Kingspan Light + Air’s smoke control arm – formerly Airvent – is Arcus FM’s nominated preferred smoke control maintenance specialist, and our partnering position means that many Sainsbury’s stores will now fall under the company’s jurisdiction when it comes to both scheduled maintenance and service call-outs for our national network of engineers and SSSTS-trained site supervisors.

Speaking of the Arcus deal, Sainsbury’s Danny Malyon commented: “the award of this new seven-year contract is the result of a strong partnership ethos. We have great confidence in Arcus as a forward-thinking and inventive partner, delivering unrivalled service. It is also a critical part of our strategy to become a leader in the use of technology/IOT in FM.”

Innovation and embracing technologies are hallmarks of Airvent’s historic approach smoke control system service and refurbishment, being the business that started the smoke control maintenance industry in the first place over 30 years ago. Airvent is now a part of Kingspan Light + Air and continues its service levels unchanged, with a network of dedicated engineers across the UK.
