Tony Barry nominated for IoD award

Brakel Airvent’s founder and managing director, Tony Barry, has been nominated for recognition at the Institute of Directors Wales’ annual awards event.

In line for a nod in the category of Director in a Medium/Large Business, Tony’s nomination is a recognition of the effort, skill and sheer force of will it has taken to create a company and lead it to a UK-leading position over a span of 30 years, enhancing working practices in the industry along the way.

“It’s wonderful to be nominated for something like this,” explains Tony, “but in reality it’s everyone at the company that needs to take the credit. I got the ball rolling but it’s down to the hard work and commitment of every employee we’ve had over 30 years that Brakel Airvent is now the country’s number one maintenance provider to smoke control systems.”

The award winner announcement will take a place at a ceremony on the 19th May at the SWALEC Stadium, Cardiff.
