Smoke Curtains (Smoke Guard)

Airvent’s Smoke Guard (Smoke Curtain) is an innovative smoke and heat-resistant curtain which can be applied either fixed in place or deployed automatically within seconds in a fire emergency. Smoke Guard compartmentalises hot smoke above head height to delay it from cooling and lowering to ground level, obscuring fire escape routes and causing a hazard to health. The robust, lightweight Smoke Guard has applications in smoke containment, smoke channelling and smoke sealing, and is rated to 120 minutes at 600°C (both enclosure and fabric).

The fabric is manufactured from X32K woven glass fibre cloth, incorporating a ‘Panama’ weave for increased stability, enabling Smoke Guard to form a continuous barrier against the smoke produced in a fire.
