Smoke Control Association welcomes Airvent

The Smoke Control Association (SCA) is the closest thing the smoke control industry has to a regulatory body, giving direction to safety standards where building regulations and legislation are occasionally fall short (mechanical smoke shafts being a prime example of this).

The body has now welcomed Giovanni Cosma, Airvent’s in house fire engineering consultant and CFD specialist, into its fold.

Giovanni comments: “The SCA approves fire engineering as a safe method of designing smoke safety systems outside of British regulations, and provides guidance and support documents to enable others in the industry to work in more modern, client-friendly ways; it seems only fitting that Brakel Airvent continues to have a voice in such an important organisation.”
