IntelliVent OPC

The IntelliVent OPC (Open Protocol Control) is Airvent’s industry-leading smoke control panel, designed to operate and co-ordinate the effective running of your smoke control system. If required the network can be easily extended to control other building systems, cutting down on the need for multiple panels and providing a one-stop-shop control system.

The IntelliVent OPC is available with 5.7”, 7.5”, 10.4”, 15” or 19” HMI touch screens and the panels can be either flush or surface mounted.

The panels use an ethernet network between HMI and main panels, and an ASI (Actuator Sensor Interface) network between main panels and local interface units. The ASI is a two-wire power/data bus originally developed by Siemens Automation. This is an open standard based on IEC 62026 – 2 and EN 50295. The panel can be uploaded with various building graphics to suit specific client requirements and below you can see two typical images of what could be provided. Diagnostics, fault finding and system log are all available as standard with the IntelliVent OPC.

Smoke Guard

Airvent’s Smoke Guard is an innovative smoke and heat-resistant curtain which can be applied either fixed in place or deployed automatically within seconds in a fire emergency. Smoke Guard compartmentalises hot smoke above head height to delay it from cooling and lowering to ground level, obscuring fire escape routes and causing a hazard to health. The robust, lightweight Smoke Guard has applications in smoke containment, smoke channelling and smoke sealing, and is rated to 120 minutes at 600°C (both enclosure and fabric).

The fabric is manufactured from X32K woven glass fibre cloth, incorporating a ‘Panama’ weave for increased stability, enabling Smoke Guard to form a continuous barrier against the smoke produced in a fire.

Airvent has recently installed Smoke Guard at Lewisham Shopping Centre, Asda at Tory Glen, Bon Accord Shopping Centre, Watford’s Harlequin Shopping Centre, Guildford’s Friary Shopping Centre, Thurrock’s Lakeside Shopping Centre and Bromley’s The Glades Shopping Centre.

Fire Guard

Airvent’s Fire Guard is an innovative fire, smoke and heat-resistant curtain which can be applied either fixed in place or deployed automatically within seconds in a fire emergency. Fire Guard blocks the spread of flames (much like a fire door), and also compartmentalises hot smoke above head height to delay it from cooling and lowering to ground level, obscuring fire escape routes and causing a hazard to health. The robust, lightweight Fire Guard has applications in smoke containment, smoke channelling and smoke sealing, and is rated to 60 minutes in a fire situation (both enclosure and fabric). The enclosure features side guide rails to ensure sealing of the edges. The fabric is manufactured from X32K woven glass fibre cloth, incorporating a ‘Panama’ weave for increased stability, enabling Fire Guard to form a continuous barrier against the fire and smoke produced in a fire.
