Fire Curtains (Fire Guard)

Airvent’s Fire Curtains (Fire Guard) is an innovative fire, smoke and heat-resistant curtain which can be applied either fixed in place or deployed automatically within seconds in a fire emergency. Fire Guard (Fire Curtains) blocks the spread of flames (much like a fire door), and also compartmentalises hot smoke above head height to delay it from cooling and lowering to ground level, obscuring fire escape routes and causing a hazard to health.

The robust, lightweight Fire Guard has applications in smoke containment, smoke channelling and smoke sealing, and is rated to 60 minutes in a fire situation (both enclosure and fabric). The enclosure features side guide rails to ensure sealing of the edges. The fabric is manufactured from X32K woven glass fibre cloth, incorporating a ‘Panama’ weave for increased stability, enabling Fire Guard to form a continuous barrier against the fire and smoke produced in a fire.
