Damper project wins pouring in nationwide!
We were one of the first companies to provide a specific, organised method of reporting on fire damper maintenance in the UK, as recognised in a Channel 4 report in 2015. Right now the whole nation is keenly aware of the importance of life saving smoke and fire systems, and as a result of our strength in this sector we are gaining new contracts every day.
Our national network of service and maintenance engineers isn’t going unnoticed – we’re winning new contracts up and down the UK thanks to our ability to not only schedule considerate maintenance and refurbishment schemes, but also our offer of 4hr call out, 24/7 all year round.
Below are just a few of our recent damper project wins:
British Airways (Heathrow) – Brakel Airvent was appointed to the project of maintaining smoke control systems in the baggage handling zones of terminals two and five, following a tendering process and in partnership with Honeywell.
University of Bristol – a program of surveys, information gathering and development, service and renovation works for damper systems. We also applied our unique data management systems to maintain the university’s commitment to occupants’ safety.
Swansea University – reviewing existing damper records, surveying the site to create a reliable up-to-date log and undertaking remedial works as required. We provided the complete service, from survey to database reporting, which makes sure the university can be certain it complies with all legislation and that it’s buildings’ users are safe.
British Gas – working with on-site maintenance teams to ensure all fire and smoke safety systems (smoke control and fire/smoke dampers) are maintained and operating to required standards. Close co-operation with on-site engineers to ensure all assets are located and recorded, along with a teamwork approach to ensure best value and best results.
Scottish Power HQ (Glasgow) – a smoke control / car park ventilation client was attempting to manage the maintenance of their 600+ dampers in-house. However, after meeting the Brakel Airvent team and seeing our experience and expertise they selected us to ensure they maintained legislative compliance.
Northumbria University (Newcastle) – we won a contract to manage the maintenance of over 600 dampers on site, on the back of our focusing on service levels and preferred supplier status. With all the difficulties of working within a teaching environment and around students, our ability to prove our unrivalled experience won the day.
Roseberry Hospital (Teeside) – over 1500 dampers will be monitored and maintained by Brakel Airvent using our enhanced service level (damper file reporting system). Hospitals are challenging but with our experience – of working within buildings with many thousands of dampers in areas that are in constant use – makes use the obvious choice for such projects.
We’re proud of our leading approach to innovation in the damper service sector, and this is just the tip of the iceberg – look out for a new, even more customer-focused service in the coming months.
The national spread of these clients shows Brakel Airvent is a truly UK-wide business unlike our competitors, with regional teams and local contacts for all our customers.
