Bob Gate appointed to drive ambitious biz dev targets

Brakel Airvent is the world leader in the care and support of life safety systems and a key part of the Brakel group, Europe’s leading provider of daylight access, fire safety and ventilation solutions. The company has bold growth targets in the coming years, and as such has appointed marketing expert and industry veteran Bob Gate as UK Business Development and Marketing Manager.

“My role,” explains Bob, “is to use my extensive product, system, market and business development experience – and the resources of the group – to further enhance the solutions we provide and to ensure our UK clients receive what we promise: people and premises, safety and compliance.”

He is known as a pragmatic sales and marketing professional able to asses, agree and implement marketing communications that get results. His ability to build relationships based on mutually agreed objectives is the basis for his success in business development and account management.

Bob has an engineering background and has worked within the construction and manufacturing sectors for more than 35 years. He has been an external consultant for Airvent for many years in connection with its marketing activities, and previously spent fifteen years in the ventilation and smoke control markets.

Brakel Airvent Director Charles Hurdman comments: “Bob’s role will be quite extensive and varied – aside from his marketing and national business development responsibilities, he will also be making use of his local business contacts to help further develop a sales territory covering South Wales and SW England.
